Art Brut confirm fourth album details

Art Brut have announced the full details of their upcoming fourth studio album Brilliant! Tragic!.

Released on May 23, the follow-up to 2009's Art Brut vs Satan has again been produced by Pixies legend Black Francis.

Frontman Eddie Argos said: "With the last album we met up every couple of months and wrote three or four songs. This time we got together in the second half of the year and wrote whenever we could two or three times a week.

"We had more time in the studio this time too - about a week more - so Black Francis had time to teach me how to sing... I'm very proud that I sing on it. Only took four albums to start singing - not bad."

Fans can get exclusive extras and downloads associated with the release by supporting the band through PledgeMusic.

The group will play a five-day residency at London's Lexington venue to support the album.
