Johansen explains Slick addition to Dolls

Slick is famed for his guitar work on David Bowie's Young Americans and Station To Station albums, and also played on several of his tours.
Talking about Slick joining the Dolls, Johansen told The Quietus: "I know him from Staten Island way back. I probably met him in some guy's garage. It was a long time ago, I don't remember exactly. We probably went to someone's garage who had some drums in there and then just started playing with some cats.
"We were thinking about who we were going to get in for this tour and I have a friend who said 'You should check out Earl, I was talking to him the other day and he was saying how he'd like to play with you guys'. So I did."
New York Dolls release fifth studio album Dancing Backward In High Heels on March 14 and support the album with the following live dates:
- March 27 - Newcastle, O2 Academy
- March 29 - Manchester, Club Academy
- March 30-31 - London, Old Vic Tunnels
