The singer used the airport's announcement system to sing to fellow stranded passengers after flights in Buenos Aires were cancelled on Friday, reports Billboard.
A video of the performance appeared on YouTube shortly after.
"Wound up being announced, wound up sing[ing] two songs for airport. A first for me. Crazy day," Lauper tweeted about the impromptu performance on Friday.
Lauper sang 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun' at the airport.
