The 70-year-old singer insisted that he is open to the idea of duetting with different artists.
He told Bang Showbiz: "I wouldn't mind singing with Lady GaGa but she can't wear any of those hats."
Richard also said that singers Leona Lewis and Adele have "fantastic" voices but admitted that he was unsure if their success would last.
He added: "Adele and Leona Lewis are both incredible, fantastic voices but only time will tell. My gripe is that often with these really fine singers something goes wrong through no fault of their own and then they disappear. I hope Adele can hold her own because she sounds fantastic!"
Discussing his own interests, Richard claimed that he has an "eclectic" taste in music.
He commented: "I have very eclectic taste - Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis, Motown, it's all about the music."
