The rocker, who wrapped a previous North American tour to support his latest album Le Noise last September, is currently scheduled to perform more than a dozen gigs in April and May.
The jaunt will take Young to the Midwest and Northeastern US, including stops in Chicago, Boston, New York City and Philadelphia.
The 'Heart of Gold' singer is among a small number of musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame more than once. Young was recognised by the organisation for his solo material in 1995 and two years later was honoured alongside his Buffalo Springfield bandmates Stephen Stills and Richie Furay.
Last month, his frequent collaborator David Crosby hinted that Buffalo Springfield may reunite later this year.
Young's forthcoming solo tour kicks off on April 15 when the musician will make his first appearance in Durham, NC in more than 25 years.
