Hercules And Love Affair have been forced to cancel the remainder of their UK tour following the injury of one of their members.

The collective played their final gig at the Village Undergound in London on Friday, but will not be able to perform at the final seven dates of their current tour after DJ Andy Butler suffered an undisclosed injury.

"To all the fans in the regional UK, and Ireland and Scotland, I am so sorry to have had to cancel the shows," Butler wrote on the group's official Facebook page. "It's a spinal/shoulder thing that has to be checked.

"But, during my recovery I will be writing and producing more things for Mr. Intl," Butler added, referring to the label that he launched last year.

Other members of the group include Kim Ann Foxman, Nomi Ruiz and Antony And The Johnsons frontman Antony Hegarty.

Hercules And Love Affair released their second album Blue Songs at the beginning of this year, with new single 'Painted Eyes' arriving on April 18.
