Ward peaked at number 12 on the UK singles chart with 'Gotta Be Somebody' back in November, but confessed that he wishes Simon Cowell would let him release a follow-up single.
"I haven't spoken to Simon since I was back on The X Factor. You want to hear from the main guy," he told the Daily Star.
Ward recently performed 'Obsession' on The Alan Titchmarsh Show, however, an official announcement of the song's release has yet to be confirmed.
The singer is currently preparing for his 'Up Close And Personal' tour - which starts in Wolverhampton tonight - and explained that he has slapped a booze ban on himself and his band: "I won't be touching a drop, and I'm going to monitor my band as well."
Ward previously revealed that he is happy with his album's performance amid rumours that he is to be dropped from Cowell's Syco record label.
