Westlife star Kian Egan has admitted interest in working with some of the UK's rising grime artists.

The 'Safe' singer explained that the genre crossover would be a good chance to gain exposure to different audiences.

"I like the idea of doing something with someone urban," he told The Sun.

"Like if you take that Tinie [Tempah] song 'Written In The Stars', that could be very much a Westlife chorus, with him doing the rap. It would bring both of us to a different audience."

The band recently revealed that they would have liked US success, suggesting that the failure to crack the States was due to fans being "fed up" with boybands.

It was announced earlier this week that Westlife have left Simon Cowell's label Syco and signed a new multi-million pound deal with Sony RCA.
