The 'Born This Way' star has been recognised by The Recording Industry Association of America for the feat and has become the highest-certified artist in digital sales history.
The sales count includes her hits 'Just Dance', 'Poker Face', 'Paparazzi', 'LoveGame' and 'Bad Romance', but doesn't include later hits such as 'Telephone' and 'Alejandro', meaning the actual sales figures are higher.
The reason GaGa's more recent hits have not been counted is because they have yet to receive a certification from RIAA.
Lady GaGa's latest single 'Born This Way' recently sold over a million copies upon its release in the US.
