The event takes place at the New York headquarters of the Japan Society from 11am to 11pm on Saturday, April 9.
Confirmed performers at 1pm are Philip Glass and Hal Willner, followed by Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson and organiser John Zorn. At 6pm there will be sets from Ryuichi Sakamoto solo and Bill Laswell with Gigi.
"Special activities will be available for all ages," the Japan Society website confirmed. "From making origami cranes and washi lanterns for good wishes to unlimited access to [new exhibition] Bye Bye Kitty!!!.
Tickets are $100 for each of the two main 'gala block' shows with all proceeds going to Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. An entrance fee of $5 will be charged for the rest of the 'Concert For Japan'.
Another Zorn-hosted event at Miller Theatre, Columbia University featuring performances from Sonic Youth, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Mike Patton and others on Sunday, March 27 has already sold out.
The lineup for two further Zorn-organised concerts at Abrons Art Centre, New York on April 8 have yet to be finalised. Thurston Moore has been confirmed for the 6.30pm show and Norah Jones will play the 9.30pm show.
