Black has become an internet sensation since premiering her new music video online last month.
She has also become the subject of much online criticism, causing her to speak out against the backlash she has received.
When asked about the controversial single, Simon Cowell told EW: "Love it! I've never seen anything cause so much controversy. I think it's genius.
"The fact that everyone's getting upset about it is hysterical. Any song to do with the weekend annoys you.
"It reminds me of 'Saturday Night', do you remember that song by Whigfield? It's what we call a 'hair dryer song' - a song girls sing into their hair dryers as they're getting ready to go out.
"But the fact that it's making people so angry is brilliant."
Cowell is currently working to confirm the remaining two judges for X Factor USA, after announcing that L.A. Reid will be joining the show last week.
He has stated that he wants there to be tension on the panel and so is looking to hire judges with differences of opinion.
