The 'Rope' band previously announced that they would be performing their new album Wasting Light in its entirety following nationwide screenings of their new documentary Foo Fighters: Back and Forth across the US.
The band are to now add an extra dimension to the experience by allowing fans to watch the performance in 3D.
The 3D production is to be supplied by Cinedigm, Sweetwater/NEP, Hi-Ground Media and Element Technia.
"This is a collaboration of world class, innovative and experienced 3D partners in the business. We look forward to providing a fantastic evening to fans around the country," said Jonathan Dern, president of Cinedigm Entertainment Group.
The documentary and live show is due to air across 80 cinemas in the US on April 5.
No details have been released for any UK screenings yet, although they are expected to occur later in the year.
Wasting Light is out on April 11 in the UK and April 12 in the US.
