The 'Canned Heat' band were due to perform at the La Halle Tony Garnier venue last night, but cancelled the show at the last minute after one of the stagehands lost his balance and fell 50ft from a gantry.
"The band was shocked and saddened when told the news, and out of respect immediately felt the right decision was to cancel the show," frontman Jay Kay wrote on his Facebook page.
"A police investigation is taking place."
There has been no confirmation regarding a rescheduled date, but the band's website states that it will "keep fans up to date with news as we get it."
