The 'One More Chance' band have been on hiatus since 2009, following the completion of their 'Intimacy' tour.
Lead guitarist Russell Lissack recently joined Ash for their UK tour, but the band have now started looking for a replacement guitarist, fuelling speculation that Lissack has left to return to Bloc Party.
"Russell's been brilliant and we'll have him for our festival hopefully. Then we'll have to think. I do enjoy having the second guitarist so we've got our eyes peeled," Ash frontman Tim Wheeler told The Sun.
Rumours of Bloc Party's return first emerged at Christmas when the group reunited for a photo.
