The group's second studio album EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\\ is due to be released on April 4 and Allan's mother features on a track titled 'Change'.
"She is very proud of that song. It's about a mother speaking to her son. She told everyone she was on the record and even bossed [producer] Flood around in the studio. He's no pushover but she put him in his place," Allan told The Sun.
The singer also revealed that the LP was inspired by strong family ties. Album track 'Dream Dream Dreaming' is a response concerning Allan's guilt about the band's past hit 'Daddy's Gone', which dealt with issues concerning his absent father.
"That song hurt a lot of my family as it was just one side to a story. I'd never ever wanted that to be a single because of those reasons, so I just wanted to put things straight."
Glasvegas are due to play this summer's RockNess festival.
The band recently spoke about their experience playing Hamburg's red light district as part of their European tour with new drummer Jonna Löfgren.
