The Build A Rocket Boys! band are currently wrapping up their current UK arena tour, with their final two performances to be held at London's O2 Arena tonight and tomorrow night.
"Knowing that we're being appreciated as much for our subtler songs as we are for our anthems will shape the way we write in the future," he told BBC 6Music.
"We won't have to apologetically write very simple, quiet music."
The band have been confirmed to precede U2 on the main stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
