Talking to Pop Tarts, the Super actress confessed that her busy showbiz schedule has made it impossible thus far for the pair to collaborate on a musical project. However, she is hopeful that it may happen in the near future.
"We sing all the time together. We always talk about doing something together," she explained.
"Sometimes when he is in the studio he'll say, 'Come down and sing back-up or sing with me on this song'. But I'm usually somewhere else, and our schedules make it so hard to meet up."
Liv has previously praised Steven's performance on American Idol, describing him as "naturally good" at working with aspiring artists.
She recently confessed to Bust magazine that she is continuing to rebuild her life following her 2008 split from husband Royston Langdon.
