Waters begins his UK leg of 'The Wall Live' tour - a show based on Pink Floyd's 1980/81 tour of the band's The Wall album - on May 11.
Speaking to Sky News about the possibility of Gilmour joining him on stage, Waters said: "I think it's beginning to look now as if he'll (Gilmour) do one gig. He'll do 'Comfortably Numb' at one gig. It's a big secret when."
The performance will be the first live reunion of the pair since 2005's Live 8 concert.
Waters added that the show will see a 35ft-tall and 240ft-wide wall being dismantled throughout. He revealed: "Constructing something like this indoors - I'll probably never do anything this big again, the technology of projection we've used in this show is breathtaking."
The show will play for six nights at London's O2 Arena on May 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18, followed by two nights at the Manchester MEN Arena on May 20 and 21.
Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason recently revealed hopes of a full reunion in the future.
