The former X Factor contestant has been working on her debut album in Los Angeles with producer RedOne, which is being lined up for an August 17 release.
When asked about the kind of music she is currently listening to, Lloyd told Wonderland magazine: "I love James Blake...Tracey Chapman. What else have I got? I'm majorly into dubstep."
The 17-year-old singer also explained that she sometimes forgets that she is famous and that she doesn't plan to change because of her newfound recognition.
"Some days I wake up and completely forget the position that I'm in. So I'll think that it's all right to stroll out and go shopping on my own. And then I walk out and realise that, no, it's not.
"People frown at me for walking into Primark or River Island. I don't understand why. I'm still gonna carry on, I'm not going to change. Now and again I'll go into a posh shop and treat myself, but I'm still a high street girl."
Cher Lloyd is returning to the studio to work with RedOne on more tracks for her debut in the near future.
