Jordin Sparks "excited" about NKOTBSB tour

Jordin Sparks has said that she is "super excited" to be touring with New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys.

It was confirmed this week that the 'Battlefield' singer will open concerts on the supergroup's upcoming summer tour, which begins in Rosemount, IL on May 25.

"SUPER EXCITED 2 be on @NKOTBSB tour! Ive been wanting 2 let you know since I found out! I know we have die hard fans coming!! You ready?? :D (sic)" she wrote on her official Twitter account after the announcement was made.

The star went on to promise one follower that fans at the concerts can expect to hear some previously unreleased material in her set.

New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys announced their tour plans last year and went on to perform together at the American Music Awards in November, where they showcased a medley of their greatest hits.

Their first joint single, 'Don't Turn Out The Lights', premiered on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show on Monday. Their album is scheduled for release on May 24.
