The 'Ooh La' band have recently finished work on their third studio album and are planning to head out and play their new material in a few UK shows this May.
The shows are to be intimate performances which will be announced only days ahead of the show, with fans invited to choose the venues.
The indie foursome have asked supporters to post their suggestions on their Facebook page, and have so far amassed over 3,000 comments.
It will be one of the only opportunities to hear The Kooks' new material in the UK before they tour festivals around Europe, including the Siesta Festival in Sweden and the Super Bock Super Rock event in Portugal.
The Kooks have previously described the sound of their new album as "eerie".
