It had been reported that singer Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire were considering reforming the band after meeting up at the funeral of Mani's mother.
Gary 'Mani' Mounfield has now told NME: "I'm disgusted that my personal grief has been invaded and hijacked by these nonsensical stories.
"Two old friends meeting up after 15 years to pay their respects to my mother does not constitute the reformation of The Stone Roses. Please f**k off and leave it alone. It isn't true and isn't happening."
Mani is currently the bassist in Primal Scream, while Brown has a solo career. Drummer Alan 'Reni' Wren briefly fronted a band called The Rub, but has generally kept a low profile since the demise of The Stone Roses.
Squire recorded an album with The Seahorses before releasing two solo albums and then giving up music to concentrate on painting and sculpture.
While Mani has pushed for the group to reform in the past, both Brown and Squire have dismissed any suggestion of a reunion.
