The show, titled 'I Want My MTV Ibiza', is to be created in partnership with MTV Spain and nightclub Amnesia.
A series of ten shows will be hosted by the music channel at Amnesia, with the first event scheduled for July 1.
Duran Duran have been confirmed to play one of the shows on August 12, with Mark Ronson to provide DJ support.
"Duran Duran have both a musical connection and a personal history with Ibiza, but we've never actually done a show on the island, despite going there and enjoying everything it has to offer for years," Duran Duran frontman Simon Le Bon explained in a statement.
"With our roots firmly in dance and electronic culture, Ibiza has always been a part of our musical DNA, so we're really looking forward to finally performing there at Amnesia, which is certainly one of the island's best clubs."
Further acts confirmed to be playing include 2MANYDJS and Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.
The shows will be recorded and compiled into two one-hour programmes which will air in the UK on MTV Music on August 6 and September 9. The programme will also be distributed to 27 other countries for broadcast.
MTV recently confirmed that this year's Video Music Awards are to return to Los Angeles.
