The 'Judas' star, who released the album's artwork over the weekend, has apparently worked with May on album track 'You & I'.
"It's always been GaGa's dream to perform as Queen. If it wasn't for Queen, there would be no GaGa. This collaboration with Brian May means the world to her," a source told The Mirror.
The singer-songwriter is believed to have taken her stage name from Queen song 'Radio Ga Ga'.
GaGa recently confirmed that she has also worked with AC/DC producer Robert John Lange on the track.
Lady GaGa's second single to be taken from the album, 'Judas', was released early on Friday after being leaked online.
Born This Way is due to be released worldwide on May 23.
