The Black Eyed Peas frontman, who produced Spears's 'Big Fat Bass' track for the record, told MTV News that he was floored by the singer's child-like love of creating new music in the studio.
"[I discovered] her love for music. I've never seen anyone, like, come alive, full of excitement and giggling and laughing behind the mic," he explained.
"She was like a little kid when she was recording the song and it just brought the whole atmosphere, it changed the whole atmosphere when someone really loves music. So it was great working with her."
He went on to admit that he found the 'Till The World Ends' artist's enthusiasm infectious and could not have had a better experience.
"When someone's excited to go out and just do it, what advice? You don't need no advice. She's just turned on right now... Adding that type of perspective... when we were recording it, you don't need to give nobody [like Britney] advice," he said.
will.i.am. previously described the Spears collaboration as "a monster" and claimed that it is "something that today needs".
