The choreographer, who is also a dance coach on The X Factor, said that "scheduling conflicts" have forced him to pull out of staging the 26-date jaunt.
He tweeted: "Due 2 scheduling conflicts Im not able 2 work on Brits FF tour. Im so thankful 2 have had the opportunity 2 reconnect on videos & promo tho! (sic)
"Jamie King will be directing the tour again & has a great line up of new choreographers! Everyone make sure to go & support! I'll be there!"
Friedman choreographed the singer's last two music videos for 'Till The World Ends' and 'Hold It Against Me', as well as the routines for 'Toxic' and 'Slave 4 U'.
Spears's 'Femme Fatale' tour with Nicki Minaj kicks off on June 17 in Sacramento, California.
