The 'Promise This' star is expected to launch her music career in the US later this year and is working closely with friend will.i.am to secure collaborations with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry for the LP.
"Cheryl's management want her to become the next big popstar in America and are working on securing some A-list names for the album," an insider told M is for Music.
"A Rihanna duet is a certainty and Will.I.Am is trying to convince Minaj to work on the LP too. Katy Perry has also been in talks with Cheryl about a duet, as she is a big fan."
It is reported that Cole is desperate to bag studio time with Beyoncé and Britney Spears, too, but has accepted that the collaborations would "take a long time to achieve."
The US version of the album will contain a selection of the best tracks from her first two UK albums 3 Words and Messy Little Raindrops, and is due to include her duets with will.i.am and Travie McCoy.
The developments follow news of Girls Aloud's plans to reunite without Cole, as she is planning to spend most of the next year Stateside, while her bandmates are itching to start recording again.
