The reality TV star, who recently reached a custody agreement with estranged husband Mark Croft, will apparently be the female vocalist on techno track 'You're Not Alone'.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "[Basshunter] is fully behind this song and Kerry being involved. He thinks it could be the 2011 version of David Guetta and Kelly Rowland's hit 'When Love Takes Over'.
"Kerry's really excited and actually thinks this could be her big break back into music. She's determined to make things happen with a rejuvenated singing career. She knows she's not the greatest singer in the world - but she's determined."
Lyrics to the song include: "It's going round and take each day by day. You're not alone, you're not alone, you're not alone, nothing can go wrong. No matter where my life will take, I will be just around the corner, baby. Just around the corner."
Speaking of her career, Katona recently claimed that there was "definitely music in the pipeline".
It has also been reported that Jay-Z is fascinated by Katona.
