Beatles songs being prepped for download?

The Beatles’ back catalogue is apparently being remastered ready to be released as downloads.
The revelation came in the ongoing court case between Apple Corps – which holds the bands’ rights – and iPod manufacturer Apple Computer over its logo.
Apple Corps managing director Neil Aspinall appeared to tell London’s High Court that he was preparing to put the band’s songs on the internet.
He commented: “It would be wrong to offer downloads of old masters when I am making new masters.”
The move would mark a change in The Beatles’ policy towards downloads, which they have previously rejected.
Apple Corps confirmed the statement, though said no date was set for release.
