The twins will represent Ireland at the contest with their single 'Lipstick' next month. According to The Sun, plans for their performance had included two of the animals.
However, they have now been forced to reconsider after show bosses in Germany declined to grant them permission.
"The boys thought that bringing on tigers was a foolproof plan," a source told the paper. "They know that the other countries don't think Britain or Ireland take the competition seriously.
"This was the ideal way of showing that they'd put a lot of thought into the gig. They're absolutely gutted."
Jedward still have to secure a place in the final and will perform last in the second semi-final on May 12.
The Eurovision Song Contest, in which the UK will be represented by Blue, takes place in Düsseldorf on May 14.
