Welsh joins Keane for 'Atlantic' video

Keane have recruited Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh to direct the video for album track Atlantic.
The band found mutual respect with the writer and convinced him to make his first ever film for them.
"We met up with Irvine in the studio as Atlantic was coming together,” explained singer Tom Chaplin. “We talked and felt he was the ideal person to put our song into pictures.
“He in turn felt that Atlantic could prove the perfect soundscape for his directorial debut. The result is a dark artistic statement that adds a new dimension to the song."
The result will air on Channel 4 at 11.30pm on April 21, after which it will be available for download through 3 Mobile and iTunes.
