The 'Jump Into The Fog' band released their second studio album This Modern Glitch last week, which reached number three on Sunday's official album chart.
Adele's first two albums 19 and 21 took the top two chart positions, but The Wombats admitted that they're fine with that because they are fans of both the records.
"Adele's two albums have been amazing," frontman Matthew Murphy told the Daily Star.
"She deserves everything that's going for her. She is someone everyone can relate to as she's not overly stylised, like Jessie J."
Murphy did concede that the group enjoy Jessie J's material having recently covered her hit single 'Price Tag' on Radio 1.
"We did a TV show with her and got to see how amazing that song is," he added.
The band previously explained that social networking site MySpace was instrumental to their success earlier in their career.
The Liverpudlian trio have announced that they are to embark on a UK tour this autumn.
