The X Factor finalist, who is currently gearing up to release his new single 'Busy' at the end of the month, admitted that he was a big fan of this year's UK Eurovision entry when he was younger.
"I'm a huge Blue fan. I was obsessed with them growing up," Murs told the Daily Star.
"When I was between 19 and 20 all I sang were Blue songs. I met Lee Ryan recently and told him how much I liked them and how I wanted to be the fifth member of Blue."
The 26-year-old also hinted at the possibility of a future collaboration with the band.
"I'm backing them all the way at Eurovision. I love their single 'I Can'. Hopefully afterwards we can do something together."
Speaking about his fellow X Factor contestants Jedward, who will be representing Ireland at this year's competition, Murs stated: "They've had an amazing career so far and they seem unstoppable. I do feel some loyalty to them as they are my X Factor friends. But it's all about Blue."
Murs recently expressed an interest in appearing in a future episode of EastEnders.
