Jedward have insisted that they are not worried about competing against Blue at next week's Eurovision Song Contest.

The X Factor duo spoke of their confidence at winning the title for Ireland with their song 'Lipstick', and jested that their infamous hairstyles alone would attract more votes than 'I Can', the newly-reformed boyband's UK entry.

Speaking to The Sun's Buzz Magazine, John Grimes explained: "We think Blue are totally cool. They're not really our competition, though. We are totally different acts."

His twin brother Edward added: "If John and I simply stood on stage with our hairstyles, we'd win Eurovision. We're so 'out there' and have so much energy, plus we've got a really, really great song with 'Lipstick'. That's what people want. They want to watch someone they'll remember."

Jedward recently asserted that their Eurovision song will "lift the competition to a new level", despite the setback of having a routine involving live tigers prohibited.

Blue's Eurovision campaign, however, has been described as "reckless insanity" by their ex-manager, while Phillip Schofield later upset the band by describing their song as "shocking".
