The New York City-based fivesome unveiled their latest track, titled 'You Make Me Feel...', earlier this week.
Various music forums and blogs immediately picked up on the similarities between the song and Harris's UK number one 'I'm Not Alone', which was released in April 2009.
Harris himself has acknowledged the similarities, posting the audio of 'You Make Me Feel...' on Twitter with the caption: "And another one."
He went on to explain: "I sort of wish i had just made a load of beats that sounded like 'I'm Not Alone' myself, i'd be living in a gold plated castle right now (sic)."
However, after making the statement he insisted to his followers that he was only messing around.
"Please know i'm never 100% serious about this stuff...! It's funny to me. I love music! I'm VERY happy so many people like that track!!!" he wrote.
Cobra Starship's 'You Make Me Feel...' is released in the US today. A UK date is yet to be confirmed.
Harris recently debuted his new single 'Bounce', which is a collaboration with Kelis.
