Snoop Dogg, Primal Scream for MTV Ibiza event

Snoop Dogg and Primal Scream are among a handful of new acts confirmed for this summer's I Want My MTV Ibiza.

The 'Sweat' rapper will kick off the summer-long collection of events with a headline slot at the opening party of I Want My MTV on July 1, while Primal Scream will perform a live show of their Screamadelica album as the closing party on September 2.

Also added to the lineup is Swedish pop-starlet Robyn, who performed live with Deadmau5 at last year's MTV Video Music Awards.

Further major acts will be added to the bill later this month. Previous acts to be confirmed for the summer shows include Duran Duran and Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.

The concerts will be recorded and compiled into two one-hour programmes which will air in the UK on MTV Music on August 6 and September 9. The programme will also be distributed to 27 other countries for broadcast.
