The singer told Digital Spy that the group were excited about the prospects for their UK competition song 'I Can'.
James said: "I think if we can get in that top five we've done our country proud and we know that we've done everything that we've set out to do."

Of the way the contest is treated in the UK, he continued: "I know that we are still one of the only countries that considers Eurovisivon to be really naff.
"I think the reason the BBC wanted to put Blue in as an established act is to try and slowly change that. Next year it'll be interesting to see who they represent our country, because I guarantee it will be a big name."
James added: "What they've actually done now with Eurovision is taken it away from being a tacky, gimmicky show. They're trying to make it a really credible, great, musical platform, which is watched by over 125 million people."
Blue's Anthony Costa has promised that the group will pose naked should they win tonight's final.
