The trio, who are due to play the Main Stage later today, said playing to festival crowds was "challenging" but insisted they "mean business" with their live performances.
Speaking backstage at the event, Dan Haggis told Digital Spy: "I think this one is slightly more nerve-wracking because it's live-to-air as well. That adds a slight extra thing. I don't know why it does, it shouldn't really."
Tord Řverland-Knudsen added: "I think it's quite challenging when you play festivals because you have to win people over again."
Haggis continued: "It's not necessarily your crowd, but we've just got to show people we mean business."
Radio 1's Big Weekend continues today with performances from the likes of Bruno Mars, My Chemical Romance and Lady GaGa.
