Matthew Morrison joins Backstreet Boys tour

Matthew Morrison has announced that he is to perform at a number of venues during the upcoming Backstreet Boys tour.

The Glee star, who released his debut album earlier this month, revealed that he has altered his summer tour schedule so that he can appear with the boyband, whose tour will also feature New Kids on the Block.

Appearing on Good Morning America, Morrison explained: "This is the first time I'm going to announce this, it happened this past weekend. Things kind of changed in my tour that was scheduled.

"There are going to be some cities that are going to stay [the same] but I'm going to be joining the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block and play in some arenas."

The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block tour is scheduled to begin on June 2 in Connecticut, and end in Pennsylvania on July 30.

Morrison is set for his own solo tour, which begins on June 18 in Minnesota. It is unconfirmed for which dates he will join the boybands on their tour.
