The 'You Really Got Me' band unveiled a re-issue project at the beginning of the year, but have now decided to revisit three of their earlier LPs.
The three albums in question are their 1966 release Face to Face, 1967's Something Else and 1969's Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire).
Arthur will be expanded into a two-disc set that will include demos, out-takes and session tracks.
Each record will contain extensive liner notes that document the story of its creation.
The three albums will be remastered and re-released on June 13.
The recent activity at The Kinks' record label has stirred speculation that the North London band may reform, despite guitarist Dave Davies's recent insistence that they will not.
