A massive 9.0 earthquake and tsunami struck the island nation in March and damaged a great deal of the country's infrastructure.
The 'Never Say Never' popstar is currently in the midst of a Far East tour, which included a gig in Osaka last night and stop in Tokyo on Thursday.
Responding to a tweet by Adam Levine wherein the Maroon 5 frontman pledged funds from the band's own recent Japanese shows, Bieber wrote: "sounds like a good idea..im in. gonna donate a portion of my show to Japanese Red Cross too. #supportjapan #makeachange. (sic)"
This morning, Bieber met with several children affected by the disaster and praised their courage, noting: "just met some incredible kids who have been thru alot because of the devastation here in Japan. blessed to meet them and proud to know them."
He continued: "when you meet kids like that..with all their strength and courage to move on you realise the important things in life. #supportJapan"
Bieber also announced that he will dedicate tomorrow night's concert at Tokyo's famed Budokan Hall to the children he has encountered.
It was reported this morning that Bieber and his rumoured girlfriend Selena Gomez will be among the presenters at this weekend's Billboard Awards.
