Coldplay have received the most nominations for this year's Ivor Novello awards, which honour British songwriters and composers.
Hit singles 'Fix You' and 'Speed of Sound' are up for best song musically and lyrically, most performed work, and international hit of the year.
The band won the award for songwriters of the year in 2003.
James Blunt is also in the running, with 'You're Beautiful' featuring in two categories.
The winners will be announced on 25 May at a ceremony held at Grosvenor House in London.
