The 'Judas' star, who released her second studio album Born This Way on Monday, apparently sold just under 100,000 copies of the record upon its first day of release.
Seeming to confirm the number of sales, the Official Charts Company posted on Twitter: "A great week for @ladygaga - early indications show Born This Way is on course to score the biggest first week sales this year."
The high sales will more than certainly dethrone Adele's 21, which has remained at the UK album chart top spot for 16 non-consecutive weeks.
It is predicted that GaGa will also shift significant units for her record in the US, which has been escalated further by Amazon who offered the singer's new album for just 99 cents.
