Lady GaGa 'Born This Way' to sell 850,000 copies in US

The 'Judas' star's record label Universal Music Group has projected sales of 800k upwards, with less-official predictions even higher, reports Billboard.
It was recently revealed that over two million units of Born This Way would be shipped to US retailers, but digital copies are now said to be making an even bigger impact following Amazon's first-day 99 cents offer at the beginning of the week.
Although some industry insiders have argued that the inclusion of the Amazon sales should not be contributed to the final tally, Billboard executives have stated that the digital sales will be counted.
Born This Way's sales are expected to eclipse the entire top 30 album's combined, with first-day figures indicating that approximately 100,000 copies were snapped up by consumers.
