The Radio 1 DJ told Metro that he is not concerned that many top performers use laptops rather than decks in clubs.
Jules said: "Vinyl has been dead for a long time.
"DJs are there to perform and create a musical backdrop. As long as it doesn't compromise performance, I don't mind what people do.
"I have seen bigger name DJs to whom the laptop is the weapon of choice and they're not big on the performance or comfortable behind the decks."
Asked if he fears no longer being relevant, he added: "I try to stay one step ahead of that mentality. There's plenty one can do to remain relevant, from cutting and pasting your own tunes to making mash-ups and your own tracks.
"It's important that even if certain genres don't fit into what you're doing you include them. I can take dubstep tracks, which are not in my musical arena, and remix them."
Jules reportedly invited Take That star Howard Donald to play his 'Judgement Sundays' nights at Eden in Ibiza from August 21.
