Scouting for Girls have praised the current British music scene, saying that the material coming out of the UK is "honest".

The pop-rock trio are currently preparing to release an expanded version of their 2010 record Everybody Wants to Be on TV, which reached number two on the UK album chart last year.

"People are too savvy to bulls**t these days, so great, honest records from Adele, Mumford & Sons and Noah and the Whale are what are doing well. Adele is absolutely incredible," frontman Roy Stride told the Daily Star.

Scouting for Girls will release their new song, titled 'Love How It Hurts', on July 11 and have described it as a response to their previous hit 'This Ain't A Love Song', which reached number one in 2010.

"It's written from the other person's point of view. They are still enjoying the pain of the break-up as it makes them feel as though they have a chance of reconciling, but actually they don't."

Scouting for Girls will join Primal Scream and Jessie J for this year's Orange RockCorps concert on July 12.
