Young "most popular artist of all time"

Will Young has been named the most popular British artist of all time in a radio vote.
The Pop Idol winner beat many other legends of the industry, including Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney and Queen, to be named the number one in the Music Week May Day Chart.
Sensationally the Beatles only came in at number 34, just below Texas and Craig David. The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks and The Sex Pistols are just some of the names who failed to even make the top 40.
Will, who was delighted to have won, said: "What makes it so special is that it’s voted for by the public.
"I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who took part and made the effort to vote. I’m over the moon."
