The 'Love Love' group perch upon a £1.5 million metal man named Om during the show and band member Howard Donald's prediction of it breaking down became a reality in Manchester on Saturday night.
The band were then stuck 10 feet in the air as stage crew helped each member down while they still had to perform.
Take That said in a statement: "The mechanical man did stop in motion at the end of 'Love Love' but the matter was resolved and by the end of the show he was standing tall again.
"There is no guarantee that with a mechanical structure the size of Om, there will be no recurrence at some point but all seems fine now."
Gary Barlow also revealed that Donald had foreseen the predicament, telling the Daily Star: "With things like Om and the water in 'The Flood', you hope there's nothing too bad that can go wrong technically.
"It all worked great in rehearsals but Howard was particularly worried we were going to be stuck there like lemons. He was right."
Take That will continue to play their Manchester dates all this week.
