Taylor Swift, Shania Twain film 'Thelma & Louise' sketch

Taylor Swift and Shania Twain will open tonight's CMT Music Awards 2011 with a Thelma & Louise-themed sketch.

The country singers will be joined by stars including Donald Trump, Kenny Rogers, Glee actor Chord Overstreet, Ron White and the show's host Kid Rock for the opening inspired by the movie.

Thelma & Louise, released in 1991, starred Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis as two friends who go on the run. The pair reunited for a 20th anniversary screening of the film in Toronto this week.

CMT has also announced a string of additional presenters for tonight's ceremony, including Martina McBride and Little Big Town, Cheryl Hines, Gary Busey and Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon.

Justin Bieber, American Idol stars Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina and Sheryl Crow will also present.

Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band and Big & Rich were previously confirmed as performers.

Aldean will enter the evening with the most nominations, having been recognised in four categories. Other multiple nominees include Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Swift and Zac Brown Band.

The CMT Music Awards 2011 air live tonight at 8/7c on CMT and CMT.com.
