Sean has worked with the same team behind his hits 'Down' and '2012' for the project, which is titled The Mistress.
The mixtape will consist of acoustic renditions of some of his own original material as well as a collection of covers of his favourite tracks.
The first song to be released from the mixtape is titled 'Where Do We Go'. It is an acoustic ballad with the accompanying video being filmed at the famous Hit Factory Studios in Miami.
Sean's new album Freeze Time will include collaborations with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Mary J. Blige. It is released on July 4 in the UK and July 5 in the US.
Sean, 30, was recently crowned the most viewed Brit on YouTube after amassing over 250 million views on the video-sharing site.
